Good morning/afternoon/evening, IF members, wherever you are ☺
I hope that everyone is enjoying his/her stay here as much as I do.
Those are some of my suggestions that might improve the users' experience on InviteForum and the site in general. I'd love to hear your opinions, guys.
Shoutbox:
The font size when opening the Shoutbox in a separate (pop-up) window is much larger than the font size on the site itself. (Click the "Open in popup" icon just above the Shoutbox to see by yourself.)
As far as I know, there doesn't seem to be an option where you can customize the Shoutbox's font size alone without affecting it on the whole site.
FAQ thread:
I was looking around the site for a FAQ thread to answer my question: what are the different user classes and how does the promotion system work? Couldn't find one.
User classes (personal) :
Banned: user who has been banned from the site for violating the rules. (That's if the site wants to keep a record on that user.)
Restricted/Doomed: user who has receieved warnings that are not severe enough to get him banned. Will eventually vanish if he didn't receive new ones within a fixed period of time. (Warnings include continuously using a foul language in the Shoutbox/forums, misbehaving--like doxing, threatening, advertising, etc.)
Peasant/Newbie: user who has newly registered on IF.
Member/User: user who has been registered for a certain period of time, regularly visits the site, and posts/contributes every now and then.
Power-user: user who has been on the site for a long time. Visiting and contributing to IF on, almost, a daily basis.
Elite/Extreme-user: user who visits the site daily, does helpful tutorials, giveaway invites to top-tier trackers, does high quality reviews, etc.
Seller: user who is approved by admins to be trustworthy & safe to purchase from.
Donor/VIP: user who donates to IF.
Moderator: user who edits threads, ban cheaters, and keeps the community updated with the latest news.
Super-Moderator: user who can add/edit sections, do important announcements, etc.
Administrator: GOD MOD!
Of course, each class will have different perks.
IF logo & banner:
From a personal standpoint, I think that InviteForum has the best user interface (UI) among all torrent-related sites/forums. Browsing this site is such a bless! It's flawless, don't get me wrong, but I think it needs a new logo/bannel. I highly recommend the moderators to do a contest for "the best logo/bannel." (Perhaps when enough users [artists, graphic designers, enthusiasts] join IF.)
Achievements/badges:
There is nothing more entertaining than completing tasks and getting rewarded, even if that reward is a badge appears underneath your username or on your profile. Special badges for those who complete thsoe achievements--like posting 100 comments, receiving 100 reactions, being online for a certain amount of time, being a registered member also for a certain amount of time, donating, etc.
Others:
Alongside giving a reaction and leaving a nice message on the seller's profile, there should be a statistic that shows how many invites have been given-away by that user. It helps buyers to avoid any sort of suspicions. Also, most importantly, those who do a lot of giveaways definitely deserve to be noticed.
Sorry for the long post. Cheers!
